It’s been a good season for wildlife this year. All the local boat tour operators have reported frequent sightings of whales and basking sharks, as well as dolphins, seals and sea eagles. 

Closer to home, we have regularly seen a couple of otters playing in the water off the beach in front of the house and wild deer are often seen in the garden. But the highlight of our year has been the occasional appearance of pine martens in the garden, coinciding with a distinct lack of rabbits….!
